Vanessa Big George, a member of Naongashiing First Nation started her business “Esthetics by Vee” while on the Self Employment Program. Her interest was sparked after she completed the Esthetics Program at Seven Generations Education Institute. Vanessa started her business as a Mobile unit, travelling to First Nation communities, events, and as requested by many patrons. She was able to secure a shop in the Nanicost building.

Seven Generations Education Institute has had the pleasure of using Anokiiwin Job Connect to help our students prepare for life after they finish their education. Anokiiwin Job Connect have been a valuable resource for assisting students with resumes, job advice, entering into their job database to be notified of upcoming jobs, etc. As a result, many of our students have found gainful employment.
